I'm referring to the depressing fact that because of changes in conflict dynamics, war is a constant in our life. The reasons why people pick up arms against one another remain the same, despite all the prejudice and misconceptions. Hatred is where it all began, at first. Books about War are still relevant today, if not more so. I'm not referring to the warm nostalgia of "make do and mend" and ration books, while these tidbits of real history are fascinating material for stories and improve our comprehension of the past.
